The £92 OPG fee, explained
A Lasting Power of Attorney must be registered with the Office of the Public Guardian before it can be used. The OPG charges £92 per document to do this (recently up from £82).
This is a government fee, sperate from ours. Register two LPAs and that’s two £92 fees. We’ll always tell you upfront exactly what’s payable and to whom and whether you might qualify for a reduction.

What is the £92 fee for a Lasting Power of Attorney?
The £92 is the statutory registration fee charged by the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) to register each Lasting Power of Attorney. It is a government charge, recently increased from £82, and is payable per document, so if you register both a Property & Financial Affairs LPA and a Health & Welfare LPA, that is two OPG fees. It is entirely separate from our fee for preparing your LPAs. People on a low income or certain means-tested benefits may qualify for a reduction or exemption, and we can help you check.
